for anyone interested in the topic, I created a small greasemonkey script that lets you watch videos and channels rai.it streaming / rai.tv using as VLC player plugin for firefox (the embedded player in your Web browser) or a any external player (eg VLC, mplayer, windows media player etc.)

I added channels rai indicated earlier in this article, other TV (eg Sportitalia, Arcoiris, etc.) and some radio (RTL102.5, Radio Palinuro etc.)
